Can you and the people arguing on your side understand that as well. I'm not sure that you yourself are guilty of this but being against any environmental initiative or being for anything that environmentalists argue against can bring similar charges that you are not a reasonable person or that you are a wacko or an idiot or a shill for the oil/lumber/coal/whatever industry.

Tim, its not unusual for people to call someone a wacko when they can't begin to fathom the person or the person's take on an issue.

If you or the Rayman or Youspimp think that Al or comb or I are wacko environmentalists, then it would be interesting to see what you would call what I consider the wacko environmentalists. Last year a woman in N. CA came out of a redwood tree that she had been living in for one or two years. She was protesting the cutting of old growth and trying to prevent the cutting by living in one of the old growth trees.

Here in the NW, environmentalists and ecologists are literally attacking lumber companies and animal labs, trashing the places, damaging equipment, burning bldgs. Look at the election....look at the northern tier of states...straight across the US. Several of them went for Nader big time.

The NW for years has talked about joining with Canada's western provinces....our ideologies are much more in sync than with the rest of the US. The issue of environment and ecology runs strong in this part of the country.

There is validity to both sides...but right now the predominate mind set is still too much the way Rayman thinks, or at least, pretends to think. When the two sides are more in balance, then I think there will be less friction.
