Some questions about where we head from here...

I am trying hard to visualize what will fuel a resurgence in computer technology spending at this point, but I keep drawing blanks. Is anyone on this thread the least bit interested in upgrading to Windows XP, Office XP, Pentium 4, or the like? Further, does anyone here personally know someone who is excited about the prospects of upgrading? Friends, family? What about your employer or your own place of business?

And what about Microsoft's new anti-consumer registration policy that will make it a pain in the arse to upgrade to Windows XP? Don't misunderstand me, I like MSFT products, but from what I've read, they are freaking about piracy and the innocent are going to suffer for it. I think they will live to regret their new registration policies, but hey, that's just my own opinion. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, I strongly suggest you look into it.

What does all of this mean for the tech market's direction from here? The point I'm making is that the fair has left town and the excitement over computer technology is strongly diminished, in the home and in the business world. Nothing shockingly new seems to be in the pipeline for now. What will drive a tech rally???

Maybe biotech really is the next "big thing" in techland.
