Talisman unruffled by armed attack

KHARTOUM: Talisman Energy Inc says none of its staff in Sudan was injured, nor production affected during an armed attack on its oilfield operations headquarters south of Khartoum.
In a terse statement, the Calgary-based oil and gas company said a small militia group failed to stop production at the Heglig production facility during the attack on August 5.

"As a routine planned response to such incidents, production was briefly suspended but has since been restored," a Talisman spokesman told Dow Jones. "The Heglig facility is now operating normally. We believe the facility is completely secure."
