CSCO looks like poop to me
some positive spin on internet-based productivity
Chambo misses a key problem that I am learning about imo

if every company benefits from a greater efficiency concept tool idea principle,
then no company benefits from greater profitability
they all share in the advantage, so nobody has any advantage in pricing
prices come down across the board
e.g. long distance and wireless phone costs
next e.g. broadband costs

no pricing advantage means no competitive advantage
and no widening of profit margins

interesting, but the only beneficiaries seem to be those who build the tools enabling greater efficiency

CSCO has huge volume so far, but holding up
why it is over 15, dunno, but it is mid-18's

my brother lectured me on the insanity of my continued interest in stocks
he thinks I should turn to work, saving, then property
all the stable staples
he aint stupid, but he is ugly
my goal is to find a few good longterm winners
but the bigger challenge is becoming an investor
no such creatures on the great majority of these threads
