Anand seemed to have had both his share of pleasures and pains from his experience. While he admits that problems were almost a certainty, he was able to wade through them without too much difficulty. (After all, would you expect anything else from the owner of one of the most successful computer enthusiast web pages?) In the end, he seemed pleased with performance, which is a pretty good endorsement to AMD, since that is where they aim to excel at this point in time.

This may go as proof for some folk that many small businesses that have staff with an expertise in hardware should find a lot of value in a system based off of dual Athlons. And this goes double for Anand, who found such a server in the popular space-saving 1U package.

However, with even the minor problems that Anand had to deal with, I doubt any medium or large sized businesses would want to bother. Most companies expect a product such as a server to work perfectly out of the box. If it doesn't, that's what tier-1 support is for, which is why AMD should still aim to get at least one design win from the top 5 OEMs.
