Niceguy,

Everyone expects $15 stocks that were $85 a year ago to rocket back to $85 once the economy turns. They are like coiled springs -- only being held back by the weight of fundamentals. Given any signs of a recovery, I expect the fundamentals to be cast aside and tech stocks sprung forward way past sustainable levels. I expect a damped oscillation in stock prices over the next two years, where we have already seen the first and highest magnitude peak and trough. Should be some great trading opportunities. I'm starting to warm up to SUNW. When capital spending returns, I doubt that people will be buying Itanics. Compaq has undermined Alpha, and HP seems to be falling behind (probably due to resource sharing with Itanic and roadmap confusion). Yes, I would love to see AMD succeed, but I think the war with Intel is just starting to get bloody. Perhaps money is better invested elsewhere -- at least until we see evidence of successful and on-time 0.13u conversion, SOI, and Hammer programs.

Also, Samsung on 3rd gen Rambus:
