no, see my earlier reply. August has long been favored as a cycle low for gold by several cycle dudes, and that happens to jibe with its seasonality - the biggest gold rallies statistically take place during the month of September. that's when the jewellery trade returns from vacation and stocks up for the holiday season, which may partly explain the swing in the commercial position.
