The most reasonable estimates of people who "disappeared" forever into the Gulag during Stalin's reign are around 60 million. Not all were Russians. Few German POWs had returned home by 1950, and many of the "inconvienient" in Eastern Europe disappeared so as not to interfere with the "liberation" of those countries. Krueschev made his bones by murdering an estimated 10-million Kulak farmers and their families in Ukrainia in the mid-'30's. Sohlzenhitzin estimated in "Gulag" vol #1 that, at the height of the "Stalin Terror" in the early 30's, 1 in every 4 Soviet Citizens was being arrested by the NKVD. Beria seldom released anyone. Most estimates of people murdered by the Soviet regime between 1917 and its fall in 1989 exceed 100 million.

I realize this is all too overwhelming for liberals, who can't seem to remember the 6 million non-Jews who were killed in the Nazi holocaust. The final numbers will never be known from any of these left wing regimes, since those who could have made the counts died, also. An interesting question today is when, at 1.5 million abortions per year since 1973, the US will finally surpass Hitler and Stalin combined in the record books.

Suffice it to say that the left wing ideas that you liberals so passionately support, are about as lethal as the can be, and definitely warrant all efforts made toward their defeat...
