DrBob, I will not respond to you via PM. Why did you not send out special sell alerts in November...from what I've gathered you have an extensive email list and not all those people follow this thread or your old board on RB. Did some of these people buy in the beginning of November as your hypothetical 'special' email alert suggested? Your alert said it was dangerous to be in cash! Did they buy GLW at 75, JNPR at 196, EXTR at 89, SDLI at 264, EXDS at 34 and so on? Do you not feel any responsibility other than to say your TA is fallible???

I'll go one step further and say that your TA is misguided. Anyone who considers paying for your TA classes needs to look further.

I have followed several TA people on SI for over a year and they have all made mistakes but their TA is still very valid, I have not found that with your TA. The decision to post was not made lightly nor was it a spur of the moment decision as it goes back over a year. When the COMPX was trading in the 4000+ range last summer you had everyone looking up. I posted many links on the old RB board to try and say that maybe it was different this time (as did a few others) but you continued with the hopeful posts about certain stocks moving up. You said in a post that you had researched other bubbles, but I think you may have forgotten some of the information.

The reason I never posted or challenged any of your TA at that time was that I had just learned what time the market opened a year earlier. Hard to challenge someone who supposedly has over 25 years of experience.

(Forgot that after your bullish stance for the next few weeks you did also say that we could go down, so you are hedged.)

Why don't you post some charts on SI to show all the patterns and indicators that were bullish back in November on both the COMPX and the stocks that you mentioned in that email. We will not even talk about valuations!

Like I said in one of my other posts I give people plenty of rope before making this type of decision.

Sorry DrBob, but I do not feel this was a mistake on your part. You know the saying fool me once...

Fortunately you never fooled me.

I am taking your feedback, and learning from it. I made the mistake of banking too much on intra-day TA today, and was mistaken for becoming too bullish. The other important lesson for me is to never send out TA alerts because it appears that I am making a recommendation, and I can get burned by it if I am wrong.

I did in no way do any hyping to try to help my long positions, if that is what you are implying. I orinally responded to someone who asked me about EXDS (which is how the board became aware of my liking EXDS) for example, and even tried to dissuade people from chasing it.

My TA is fallible (especially in the short term), just like anyone else's, and if you have done better than me in your trading, I am glad for you.

Please respond to me in PM, thanks.

Best wishes,

Dr.Bob
