It's getting interesting.

First to introduce myself. I'm a former chemist with extensive work in porphyrin-related fields who has owned and followed this stock since '97. I am a modest and young investor, however. I have been a long, long time lurker here, and occasional poster on the Yahoo board. That board has long since photosensitized itself, so to speak.
:)

I've been disappointed to see the talk on this board reduced to a bimonthly whisper, then only to copy and paste the equally infrequent company press release.

So in addition to introducing myself to this community, including the posters Richard Harmon and PeterSuzman, who I have enjoyed at times of activity and earnest discussion... I am also hoping to act as a modest catalyst to revive this subject.

A few thoughts:

* This stock was hyperinflated, and then torn down, by short interest. Do others agree that this influence is largely behind the stock?

* This stock may fluctuate somewhat aimlessly without any decisive direction until the Phase III for Xcytrin comes into view. That outcome should move the stock like a step function in one direction or the other, and be the defining moment of the stock for the next 2-3 years.

* Given that context, the game is twofold. 1) Are you a gambler willing to hold until that momentous announcement? 2) How do you value the future of the stock should you anticipate positive results, and thus gauge how much upside will be had at that spike?

* The Richard Levy garbage on the Yahoo board isn't material to our decisions about this company and stock. Unless you believe there are specific management and execution concerns up top, which can always derail a "good company" or a "good idea."

* Depending on how you value the future of this stock, it's becoming hard to ignore at these prices. I'm darned close to picking up some more.

Looking forward to some valuable exchange,
CI
