carl: Present market conditions make it difficult to manufacture DRAM cost-effectively I just bought some SDRAM from a company partly owned by Infineon today where they sold me PC133 DIMMs with Micron memory since the in house price for Infineon memory is too expensive. It goes to show you that memory is selling below cost and Micron is the one of the most willing players to move it below cost. Salesman indicated tome that Micron is losing about $100 M a month at this rate. I can see why RMBS decided to voluntarily limited SDRAM royalty payment recently. john
