The problem is not too many people are pessimistic at this time. There are various numbers (Investors Intelligence surveys, AAII polls, VIX readings etc. etc) to back this.

Merely pretending to be pessimistic, or being a little anxious or worried doesn't count. What is needed is widespread end-of-the-world, kick-the-dog, puke-at-the-mention-of-stocks pessimism. We are not there yet. Not by any chance.
