HK's Now.com.hk signs broadband service co-operation contracts with 9 ICPs Hong Kong Economic Journal; Aug 8, 2001 Hong Kong-based Now.com.hk, an internet broadband service provider affiliated with Hong Kong-listed Pacific Century CyberWorks Ltd (PCCW), has signed co-operative contracts with nine internet content providers (ICPs), and is forecast to launch broadband services in September 2001. The nine ICPs, including TVB.com of Hong Kong-listed Television Broadcasts Ltd, Hong Kong- listed Mei Ah Entertainment Group Ltd and Hong Kong-listed ERA Information and Entertainment Ltd, are to provide Now.com.hk with internet content aimed at the local market, including news, films, music and online games. PCCW is to invest HK$50m-HK$80m in Now.com.hk between 2002 and 2004. Now.com.hk is expected to break even within three years.
