gst i should be used as a contrary indicator on gold...i'm still in it but have resorted to selling a lot of covered calls on the stuff that has calls...i.e. nem, agnico, asa, franco nevada, whatever...harmony and GOLD and the spec. stuff doesn't have calls obviously so i keep those. i keep saying every month i'll stop with the calls and let the thing ride but the primo's are sweet and i like being the 'house' at 3-4-5 % a month premium...i figure the gold stocks are at least a good neutral bet here and for the mid to long term so if i can make 3-4 % premium in a month when t-bill holders need a whole year to make that, why not...

at some point generally i see a double out of my golds on average though.

the best gold pick really imo is franco nevada in canada...you get exposure to the canadian $ and because they are a royalty play, even if gold slips a bit their income isin't all that affected...they have a lot of cash, perhaps 30 % of the share price now. the management imo is good and conservative. asa is good too because you get exposure to the white metals and its at a discount to nav.

anyway that is probably way more than you wanted to know !!!!

ps... keep your fingers crossed i get to keep my golds after august option expiration !!
