Yousef:

"Wrong again, niceguy ... AMD is behind in MHz, has no real presence
in servers, and has much lower ASPs. Seems like AMD is poorly
positioned and will be hurt more than INTC in the upcoming price
battle. I'm sure we will soon start hearing about AMDroids
complaining to the DOJ."

INTC claims to lead in MHz with its P4, problem being, INTC can't find the door of the hangar to test these flying elephants...it's all incremental revenues for AMD in server space, not to mention an ASP strengthener vs. declining margins for INTC with every new AMD server product...AMD is the lower cost producer and any price war will cost INTC dearly owing to the margin/volume hit it will take in attempt to stall AMD's rate of market share gain...It is not at all clear that P4 can sell at any price in the quantities targeted by INTC management...and that, for INTC shareholders, should be a frightening prospect looking forward should the future at INTC unravel that way...and odds are at least even it seems that "it might just be so".
