Rebel Without a Cigarette In Friday's Deseret News, television editor Scott D. Pierce wrote a Weekend cover story about the TNT movie about the legendary life of movie icon James Dean. Featured with the story -- and on the newspaper's front page -- was a well-known photo of the late star provided to the paper by Turner Classics. Except the Deseret News version digitally removed the cigarette dangling from Dean's mouth -- without informing readers the photo was tampered with. Pierce said he had nothing to do with the picture alteration. Sources at the News say the order came from on high, but no Deseret News editors returned our calls. sltrib.com
