I wasn't sure whom you meant- it seems to me that both sides are being intolerant and silly, but I am a very grey person and steer clear of anything extreme, which is why I didn't write to the principal and complain after graduation. I looked at it as a sort of religious belch. Embarrassing, but not really harmful.

The problem is that I've seen teachers and coaches and administration reward Christianity and be derogatory about agnosticism. This I think is what Karen objects to. Once it is allowed into the school or work setting at all, it can so quickly become an influence that is not always fair or positive for everyone.
