I didn't do my own industry analysis before selecting Novartis, and not being well-versed in the industry, I would probably still be doing homework while Novartis has taken off. I made a calculated wager that the research already done by others that resulted in selecting Novartis over others was well-founded and based on what the value of the stock is likely to be 14-18 months from now.
