What do these BB investors do anyway? I think less than 20% do any DD at all, and I think, of that 20%, only about a third or so know HOW to perform relevant DD.
In some BB investor's eyes, going to a company's website is the extent of their DD. If they like the site, they'll buy.. lol.. To others, it's simply a matter of falling in love with a concept or idea, i.e eConnect's cashpad, or the almighty "secure internet financial transactions".. It reminds me of guys who go to strip bars and spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars chasing their fantasy of skrewin' a stripper.. Crooks prey on this..
It's like the old telemarketing scams.. And they STILL exist AND succeed.. Preying on ANYONE they can reach by phone.. Elderly folks handing over thousands, folks that are bright, people who know better, but they still get "taken".. This is sort of what has intrigued me about watching this whole saga.. And as the company slides off the face of the earth, continuing to demonstrate that they never intended to make any money except for Tom, people STILL defend their actions and lack of results.. It's quite AMAZING.. I really DO believe someone should write a da mn book.. After all, eConnect WAS relisted.. hehe..
