I no it is "a big legal no- no" but I'm not sure I would add "rightly". I can see how it should be so for government jobs, but if a bigot wants to hire someone for a job, rent a room to someone or otherwise associate with certain people and not with other certain people I'm not sure that it is right for the government to force him to associate with people he doesn't like.

I would have no problems with protests or boycotts against this bigotry but I'm not sure the force of law should be brought against someone for this type of thing.

Perhaps this is a good example of the differences in our thoughts or philosophy of government that came to light in an earlier conversation. You where talking about how individual rights are secondary to basic decency or something like that. Bigotry certainly isn't very decent.
