Lots of people doing improvements. I was down at my HD the other night looking for stuff to make a cheapie solar collector for hot water for the house. There was another guy there for exactly the same reason. As we compared notes and commented on how little copper tubing was available at that particular store at that particular time, a contractor walked up and took the last dozen 10-foot sections, then asked me where the next closest HD was.

We're probably all doing improvements now for the same reason -- so the house is in the best shape possible to sell it next spring.
