I understand your concern about the fraction of a second delay. I am not a stock holder yet but am thinking about it. I visited the company a couple of weeks ago and took a look at the lock. When they say 5 seconds, that is probably for legal reasons. It was demonstrated for me and if it took 1-1.5 seconds to unlock, that would be the maximum. If you consider households with children and the potential of saving your own child or a neighbors the 1--1.5 seconds is not that long. I myself keep the clip loaded, but out of the weapon in my home. I would feel better with the magazine in the weapon and locked. I believe more people that not grow up with a firearm in the house would consider it if they knew they knew they could keep it locked. We need all the help we can get to fight the anti-gunners. Between this and the Eddie the Eagle program maybe we can take away another avenue for the anti-gunners to focus on.
