The guest is not a guest (or should not be a guest) in his or her own country

I started to make that very same point to Neo in my response to him but decided against making an issue of it because I don't think he meant it that way. My first reaction was the same as yours, but I think he was just drawing an analogy with procedures for proper etiquette where majority is to minority as host is to guest.

That said, yes, I agree with you.
