HTE - I do not and will not laugh at you and this post is not directed at you but in general. You seem to me to be quite thoughtful about your views and deserve respect therefore.

There are quite a few comentators who seem to have no real idea about when the bottom will be or how many unemployed there will be or how long it will take for the recovery to take effect.

Although they, at least some of them admit to this fairly substantial deficit of information they all seem to be agreed on a couple of things, firstly that recovery is going to be a long slow process and secondly that people should not expect the kind of annual gains made "in the past" and lastly that the NAZ may never return to 5,000 or even 4,000 for that matter.

Very often also these claims are made by the limited number of people who were wise enough to have recognozed the top as so many others failed to do. Now comfortable with their retained wealth they insist on removing any hope of anyone else ever again being able to achieve this in the market under with expressions of trying to invoke an atmosphere of realism into the minds of the poor humble souls who would like to recover some of their investment and are doing what people in the US haved done for a very long time and that is to invest in the industry of their Country. If they lose confidence in that then what hope is there?
