My comment was more about things going to far to the environmentalist side politically and in the media. If you oppose things like fining a man for shooting a threatening grizzly bear on his land, or support a strong property rights you are some sort of fringe ogre.

Tim, its hard to argue this issue because its virtually impossible to come up with a quantitative total for each side. But position comes from this place:

I maintain the place I live because its my home..that means making sure the roof doesn't leak, the wiring is sound, the water is potable etc. That's the same way I view the planet. This is home to our species....its in our best interest to keep it up and not take advantage.
