We are adding CarMax Group (KMX @$15.33) to our recommended list. KMX is engaged in the sale of both used and new vehicles utilizing non-negotiable prices. As of 5/00, the Company operated 40 store locations. For the three months ended 5/31/01, revenues rose 27% to $796.8 million. Net income rose 93% to $6.8 million. We estimate KMX to earn $.70/share this year (Feb. 02) on revenue of $2.67 billion, and $.85/share for next fiscal year. KMX combined p/s and p/b ratio of 1.24 is just too low.

As an economy backdrop for KMX's operation, Mr. Paul O'Neil, Treasury Secretary of the United States has pointed out that car sales were on track for the second-best year on record.
