You still haven't disproved that 4i RDRAM is a smaller die size than SDRAM.

Secondly, I don't give a blank about current DRAM costs. At the current rate of cash loss, lack of overall revenues to keep fabs open and lack of overall lack of total bit demand for DRAM; all DRAM manufacturers will be out of the DRAM business by 2003 at current prices levels. The only exception is those DRAM makers that can make RDRAM at a profit.
So current price schemes for memory are artifical and non sustainable and do not reflect real future costs of manufacturing and contract pricing.

Yes, they're (x32 ) somewhat more expensive than x16 chips

Could the added expense be die size.<g>
