I think that rights derive from the principle of affirming human dignity. One of the conditions necessary to human dignity is autonomy. On the other hand, if autonomy is affirmed in pursuit of the principle of human dignity, it cannot be used to violate human dignity and act without limit. Thus, there is no right to do evil, although the evil has to rise to a sufficient level to become a matter of civil or criminal action, lest we too far impede private conscience. For this reason, most cases of limiting rights are not matters of necessary evil, because the rights do not inherently extend that far.......
