Hmm, with the volume it is seeing today, looks like the big boys are moving back in UTHR. Since the market still looks sickly, what better place to protect money than in a biotech with pending FDA approval and is currently sitting on the bottom.

I wonder who will be the first to call an upgrade?

UTHR just recovered from the leak of a negative opinion written by an FDA administrator prior to the approval and the company is now back to where it was range trading before the leak.

The likeliness of FDA approval has just been greatly improved with the committee approval. UTHR was trading around the 45 area before the FDA approval problems hit. UTHR's 52 week high is 113.

DNA has a drug product coming to market at the same time and with committee approval but with liver problems on the high side of the test dosage regime. Bayer just had to yank its Baycol (cholesteral control drug) because of liver related problems. Final FDA approval may actually be tougher for DNA rather than UTHR. The UTHR drug is a synthetic modified formulation of the already approved Prostacyclin drug that allows the new formula to live longer in the body, thus not needing arterial infusion.

Good trading,
