Patricia, I have a UPS for my desktop PC and it is supposed to provide power for 10 minutes. But the APC web site should have more accurate info on that. BTW, that's another argument for having a notebook PC as a desktop replacement: most give you 2 hours of battery operation after the house power fails. And no UPS to buy. Gottfried
