Ted, the example I am talking about was a large grizzly not a young black bear. Grizzlies are bigger and more aggressive. Also it is not an example of hunting down the bear later but rather shooting it in self defense. It is also not an example of someone going out to a wilderness area and getting attacked by a bear but rather a bear on the man's own property.

Tim, and what I was trying to point out is that the behavior/actions of the two deputies could lead to new laws being passed that restrict a person from shooting a bear on his own property.
