Dan Rather: If You Want News, Read
Zillionaire news reader Dan "Buckwheats" Rather has unusual but good advice for his dwindling viewership: If you want adequate information about stem cell research, you'll get it from reading, not TV.
After CBS's limited coverage of President Bush's important decision on stem cell research Thursday night, Rather said that "obviously, this is a very complicated subject," the Associated Press reported today.
"It's the kind of subject that, frankly, radio and television have some difficulty with because it requires such depth into the complexities of it," he said.
"So we can with, I think, impunity, recommend that if you're really interested in this, you'll want to read in detail one of the better newspapers tomorrow."
With that, Rather ended his "special report," and the long-ago Tiffany Network trotted out the brain-dead "reality" show "Big Brother." newsmax.com
