Yeah, GENU (always liked em, never owned em), ARTG the guys over on lion.com like them a lot, I've done a little DD on ARTG. Don't know PKTR.
What I'm doing, and will do is just buying 100 shares or $100.00 of these terribly beaten down companies. For example, look at BUYX (Buy.com) at .17 cents. For a hundred bucks you can buy 500 shares. Will they go Ch. 11 maybe, maybe not. I have no idea. But to me, it's worth gambling (investing?) a lousy hundred bucks.
There's so many, CORV, JDSU, EMC, SCMR, ITRA, CMRC, ARBA, CMGI, COMS, GLW, love NOK here, etc.............
I've given up trying to call a bottom in this crazy market, I don't even think about that anymore. I've admitted to myself, "hey you don't have a clue as to what is going to happen." But, I'm not afraid to go long on a bunch of stocks. I'm not going to be scared by all the 'experts' spouting doom and gloom, these are the same experts who were dead wrong about the Nasdaq in 2000. Why should they be right about 2002 or the rest of this year.
The thing I've learned in my 2 1/2 years of trading is that nobody knows anything. It's all just a lot of words, they don't have a clue, and I sure the hell don't. I don't want to look back 5 years from now and say, "What if?"
Hell, I can always make more money, but I don't want to be haunted by a great missed opportunity. I see people on SI comparing Japan to America. They say, "their slump has lasted 10 years!!!!!" (they always use a lot of exclamation points). But America is a country of incredible innovation and creativity, we're a nimble people, we are willing to think outside the box, do bold things. Imagine Japan having a decade like the 1960's, it will never happen. I don't mind going long on America's future. :-)
About NZRO's earnings, earlier this week Nasdaq.com had them due to report on 8/9, I assume that was why the stock popped 22% on Thursday, short covering I suppose. Of course they didn't report, so, who knows. |
