and particularly opposed any official record keeping of who was or wasn't a Jew. LOL! THAT question could start a nuclear civil war among them! They didn't want affirmative action for themselves. Why would they be eligible? They are a religion, not a racial group. About that time and the time that affirmative action, which was originally quite benign, started to morph into quotas I never saw affirmative action as in any way good. It was the betrayal of the civil rights movement. Right from the start it appeared to be a resurrection of racial discrimination with new targets.
