Ericsson A1228c handset as cdma2000 1x technology tough to confirm

Cooters,
I went to the Ericsson website (http://www.ericsson.com/US-CA/consumer/html/phones/a1228c.html) to confirm the 1x technology of the A1228c handset. Nothing! Not even one occurrence of cdma. Nada! 144 kbps data rate not mentioned either. Zippo!

I then downloaded the 2 MB manual. Same thing. Only one occurrence of CDMA and then only in connection with the data/fax modem. No 1x. No 144 kbps.

The only confirmation of 1x technology I found is SI posting
Message 14828059, an indirect confirmation since it only cites use of the MSM5100 chip set.

What gives? Is Ericsson embarrassed to be selling cdma2000 1x handsets? Are they trying to hide from powers-that-be in the GSM world? Or are they always this subtle?

Ron
