Paul, Re: Square USA

I'm quite a fan of Squaresoft (their international name) for their Final Fantasy video game series - still a kid at heart. What amazes me, though, is that their animation continues to set new scales of excellence with every new product. Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within is a perfect example of what can be done with today's rendering packages. As this moves mainstream, I can think of all kinds of applications where life-like 3D rendering could come in handy. Maybe Intel should begin urging Squaresoft on to Itanium based workstations. As Squaresoft pioneers new levels of 3D realism, and proves to the industry just what is possible, it should surely pique the interest of similar companies. And I'm sure they'd all be wondering about the hardware behind the magic.

P.S. I hear that Shrek was also rendered on IA machines.
