<< The current down cycle is not behaving as prior cycles have....>>

Investors in the semiconductor-equipment sector should have inscribed on their foreheads, preferably with a dull axe, the phrase, 'This cycle is different than prior cycles'.

Thus, as they scrape the moldy olestra from their teeth each morning, they will read, '.selcyc roirp naht tnereffid si elcyc sihT'.

The epiphany would (hopefully) erupt that both statments make an equal amount of sense.

Perhaps I am consumed by wishful thinking, but one could hope a greater appreciation of a simple historical truth would gain stature: no matter how its phrased, the TTID* proclamation is the polar opposite of an epiphany, invariably appearing in print in complete congruence with cycle peaks and valleys.
