Your few hundreds of porcine timber baron buddies down there in Crackerland are not only planning to rip off US homebuyers for billions, they are attempting to manipulate the internal affairs of a sovereign nation, while passing up the opportunity to learn from that nation the greater efficiencies possible through careful thought and astute investment in production optimisation technology and plain canadian hard honest work.
This is not some mickey mouse little Grenada here that you can invade in a few days for the purpose of handing out some shiney medals [lol] and distracting the headlines from dismal domestic policies, not some sparsely populated 1840s México from which you can rip off half the territory and then teach your children that the murdering thieves were heroes, not some struggling independence movement on the other side of the planet that you can machine-gun and napalm with impunity because 'what the hell they're only gooks', this is a nation of thirty millions of educated resourceful individuals with a language common to your own, polite and friendly to a fault but fierce in war when pushed to the point when it becomes necessary .... which it won't be in this case due to upcoming awareness among your domestic consumers who won't like getting their pockets picked by some special interest group ... you can't dictate to us a land tenure structure of your choice, that's just a non-starter.
