Go back and read some history. After the last great bubble burst in 1931-32, automobile stocks, radio stocks and airplane stocks went nowhere for years and years and years. And yet, neither autos nor radio nor air travel disappeared. In fact, they all grew, even through the Great Depression. What didn't grow was auto, radio and airplane stock prices.

Btw, did you notice that the article you referred to, is dated April 2000? So, either the author got it completely wrong, or he was looking for bagholders! :-)
