Russia is paranoid about rise of the Islamic Fundamentalism on its borders and inside Russia.... ironically former Soviet Union supported this phenomenon while trying to contain it inside USSR (the genee is out of the bottle now)
In addition Russia has over 1 mln of her former citizens in Israel that shaping relations among them....Surely Russia will increasingly become anti (fundamental) Islam as it increasingly threatens Russia's interests.
