OFF TOPIC walked away from his 24 hour with no injuries Are you talking about that 24 hour mountainbike race in Canmore that was held maybe, 3 weeks ago? My best friend was out there racing it, he's 46 years old, he still thinks he's a kid. :) Is cyclecross like motocross with no engine No, it's more like a road racer with grip tires. I'm what you would call a "Roadie" but training on the road sucks. In the old days when I was still racing, for entertainment I'd go off-road with a road bike, drop handlebars and all. I can pretty much beat most mountainbike riders on the trails, to their shear amazement and disappointment. <lol> I was banned from racing my "converted" road-racer from mountain events here in Edmonton about 10 years ago because the dummies though I had an unfair advantage over mountainbikes, go figure. BTW: At 38 yrs of age, I'm still agile, fast and the mountainbikers are still weary of me. :) Regards Frank P.
