Yep, fresh picked sun ripened and warmed berries are absolutely the best.

While I don't get those blueberries any more, I do get blackberries. Most people don't like fresh blackberries because they think they're sour. And most store ones are. But picked warm fresh off the vine, they're wonderfully sweet and tasty. Which is why we have to fight the birds for them! Fortunately, though, our bushes are prolific so there's enough for all. Sort of like Rabbit Hill, if I'm thinking of the right book.
