Okay, I'll come over there for the chocolate chip cake, and you can come over here for the blackberries.

We have a blackberry patch that ebbs and flows depending on how much lawn I decide to try to recover each year. Blackberries are extremely invasive. But worth it, as long as they don't get so invasive that you can't play teatherball without tearing clothes. The teatherball pole used to be 15 feet from the blackberries. Now, I struggle to keep it safe to play at.

In addition to our patch, the road (dead-end) we live on is lined with blackberry bushes for about 1/4 mile. And the county doesn't spray anything lethal on the roadside. They tried about 15 years ago and got absolutely blasted by the residents. So now they just mow and accept that weeds will grow up to the roadside between mowings and sometimes grow close enough to risk scratching the sides of cars if two have to pass in a narrow place, and we prefer it that way. If you don't want your scratched, slow down.

On warm late summer days you'll often find several people out picking the berries along the roadside. And my walks along the road tend to turn into sauntering orgies.
