Thanks for linking me over here. I actually haave this one BookMarked, but admit to not keeping up here.

Thanks for the story. I haven't been in a canoe since I don't remember when. Though I did get my canoing metit badge in boy scouts.

One thing I do want to do some day is white waater rafting.

The closest I have come to that is around here when we'll get like 4 or so inches of rain, the creeks flood big time.

AA friend and I use to get these cheapo rafts from EMS aand go to town(it's more fun when the raain comes in summer rather thaan November.

Anyhow, it's perhaaps more daangerous(or stupid) to do what we do. Even though the waater level will rise a good 2 feet, there are aalwaays downed trees you haave to lay down to ger under aand the waater is running quite faast with lots of under currents.

We usually pit in by my house which is aabout 20 miles of creek to the access of Lake Erie. In about aa dozen times we have never made it all the way to the mouth. But always an aadventure

I suppose I haave lost my flaare for writing as of laate becaause I caan't seem to muster up the words to describe the thrill of flying down a (more or less now seaasonaal creek) when it becomes raging, aand at times falling off aand holding onto the baack of the raaft while it sweeps you through aa couple turns while attempting to get bac k in the thing.

But alas, my friend haas since moved to Montana aand I just can't find aany other friends stupid enough to do the trips aany more(probably for the better).

Now, if I get into some hiking stories, well, I caan shaare some really fun stories with you, but thaat will haave to waait for another time.

BTW, we got aa little burst of rain here just aabout an hour aago. was aa nice consistent rain. Has stopped now, but the skies are still threatening. Amen. It feels like we aare aabout 10" below normaal for this time of the year- I'll haave to check on that though.
