Deforestation is another problem. With northern forests regrowth can take a hundred years. The lumber companies here leave a small swath of trees along the roads and highways behind that the landscape is decimated. Another problem is genetically modified crops. It took mother nature and humans 10,000 years to develop crops that work. Then with gleeful abandon we change it over a course of 10 years. Science, big money and the farm lobby have never made good decisions.
