I like to look on the bright side, too, Maurice. If the oceans rise, it won't take as long to drive to the seashore for vacation.-g-

I also doubt that the modeling yields completely accurate predictions, but I do agree that pollution is not doing any good. But the CO2 my SUV puts out is probably tiny compared to the CO2 that's being emitted generating all the electricity it takes to run my computers and central air conditioner and two refrigerators and big-screen TV, not to mention the 20 year old furnace and the fireplace.

My office is about four miles away, so I emit less CO2 commuting to work than a rice burning four-banger that's being driven 20 miles each way. I drive less than 100 miles a week, around 50 most of the time.
