Stopped playing league soccer in my mid-50s. Just a little skill work out with the kids now and then. AND smart enough NOT to try much 1 on 1 with them anymore !!!<G> Hell, sometimes when they're really "in the zone"? Either one can give the MSL pro a good game of one v one. You know, it's one thing to go to a game at Crew Stadium when you're sitting 100-200 yds away. Standing 25 feet away? It's incredible how fast, skilled and flashy top pros are. For baseball Dads', picture having Chipper Jones or Jeter working out individually with you son once a week. Time for some shut eye. The the ole guy needs some juice tomorrow morning to pass the soccer ball around with #1 son and his lady.

Real world beckons. Great movie to see and it's a dynamite day outside. My son was looking at buying one and consequently decided to wait...Younger son had exploratory abdominal surgery today A sports rampage for #1 son! He's been running track AND playing soccer this spring. And that's on top of a 3.75 the last grading period! Plus he's got dad's height and movie star good looks. lol What a kid! His U-16 soccer team (on which he's a starter and one of the top players) won the big Tourney in Cinci over the weekend. But even a major win like that pales vs his H.S. track team which has recently fought their way into the top 5 in Ohio!

After taking the OCC (league title) and the district championship in recent weeks, they became the 1st track squad in the history of the school to win a Div 1 Regional Championship. Tomorrow, the team boards the bus for Dayton to compete for the State Championship. Explained to my son last night that there're a lot of good athletes - who've spent a lifetime in sports - and will tell you how rare it is to ever be on a team like that. Win or loose, from here, this is an experience my son will never forget. Hard for the virtual world to be more than a drop in the bucket these days! And as much as I've enjoyed making my living as a successful professional investor since 1986? Having plenty of time to enjoy a previleged lifestyle with my family is the ONLY reason money is of any importance to me. Wow!

Very prominent and well known soccer pro hired him as one of a very select group of trainers for the pro's youth soccer camps in two different blurbs at opposite ends of our metro area during the past 2 weeks...giving my son important encouragement to go on to play NCAA Div Soccer at a top University. Sure nice when it's not just his Dad telling him he's top drawer. Am a very happy camper.

I've been a pro for a lot of years and I know balooney when I see it folks...What happened to Slider is the result of a small close knit clique who've consistently been on the wrong side of the major sector and market calls Slider and I have made. Trust me, I've been through big Bear Markets before...the the most astute who are excellent students.
