I rarely visit this thread so don't know how the XP will it or won't it be a hit debate is going on over here. So, while I'm visiting - here's what I think is a major factor from a corporate point of view. The decision is not one of whether to migrate to XP or not, it is whether to migrate to Active Directory or not. Active directory has been here since Windows 2000, and has been on the roadmap for years. If an org is running a windows NT (or any other system), they do not just upgrade/migrate to Active Directory. It requires planning, and it requires planning by skilled experienced people (who in the active directory field are relatively rare). It is more important to get your A.D. design right before rollout, than it was for NT domain planning. Many companies are still with NT for exactly this reason. Many of them are planning, recruiting, training etc to make the move to A.D. and this takes time. The arrival of XP in my opinion will not speed up or slow down this process.
