Raymond,

I am many things, but easily misdirected is not one of them :~)

If nothing else, my 'painting post' gave the forum at least the illusion of its former activity.

Clearly,LPS5 has considerable insight into the workings of trading desks. Having traded only retail , there may be some dynamics I am not aware of that explain some strange trading patterns.

That said, I watch some issues rather closely, the stuff most daytraders find too twitchy and thin to bother with. And when I see the same counterintuitive game being run over and over, I get suspicious.

Sometimes it's easier to pretend that nothing perverse is going on than to uncover the real deal. Simply put, there are many interests vying for the best fill at all times. I assume they will do anything they can get away with, to achieve that.

And none of this is limited to penny stocks, BB issues, Canadian Gold shares, or any other marginal market.

Of course, the whole thing may just be a paranoid delusion.
