PCCW to Revisit Plan to Sell Bonds, May Lower Price Aug 10, 2001 - 19:20:16 HKT Quamnet News Service Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008)will revisit a plan to sell bonds, and may be willing to lower its asking price in accordance with market conditions, said William Cheung, its chief operating officer. Meantime, he maintained that the company currently has sufficient has on hand, and has no immediate funding needs. PCCW aborted a bond issue via its HKT unit last month as investors demanded a higher coupon rate in face of the financial crisis in Latin America and continued rout in the global telecoms sector. Separately, Cheung said its iTV unit will soon announce a new program plan. He said the unit, like NOW, will mainly outsource contents from existing content providers, some of which will be the same as those supplying contents to now.com.hk. No further details were provided.
